Four bedroom two bath circa 1905 cottage with terrific ocean views. Known for years as the Roux Cottage. Unobstructed ocean view from the screened in porch. Private walkway to the beach.
Walk up the twelve 12 steps of this vintage, circa 1905 Tybee house to a screened porch and take a good look at the ocean. You will want to just sit down, enjoy the view and the ocean breezes, but force yourself to step into the living/dining area. Because there is another great ocean view from this room!
The sitting area has a large screen Dish Cable TV and a dining room table that will seat eight. The numerous light-weight tables and chairs on the porch can provide additional seating options.
Adjacent to the dining room is a cheerful yellow kitchen with a black and white tiled floor…and a whimsical Kit-Kat clock. This is a small kitchen with a big attitude…fully equipped (even a crockpot) with a Jenn-Air cooktop, a convection wall oven, convection microwave and dishwasher. The refrigerator has an ice maker. A rolling cart comes in handy for serving. The remainder of the house is decorated simply in blues, greens and yellows. Wood floors (easy maintenance), lots of mirrors, painted panel walls and tall windows throughout make it light and airy. For privacy, there are blinds and shades.
The four comfortable bedrooms are connected. Entry to the first one is from a door in the living area.
The first bedroom has wicker twin beds (Sealy Posture Pedic mattresses) and a comfortable twin day bed, as well as an armoire, a sink with a medicine cabinet…and yet another view of the ocean.
From this bedroom, a doorway leads into the second bedroom with twin beds (Sealy Posture Pedic mattresses) and a vintage sink. Walk into the third bedroom which has a brass queen bed with a Sleep Number mattress, an armoire, and a sink with a medicine cabinet. From this bedroom, you enter a bathroom with a toilet and shower.
The fourth bedroom has a Sleep Number king wicker bed and a dressing table with seating. Off this bedroom is a full bath with shower. This room has a window unit air conditioner and the second Dish Cable TV.
Other attributes include 3 DVD players, a paved, private walkway to the beach and a charcoal grill. The washer/dryer is underneath the house.

Review Title : 2013 Benton Cottage ReviewGreat location and property. Very professional property management. Only 2 negatives: the floors were not very clean on arrival and the beds are not comfortable.

Review Title : Naders at the Benton CottageExcellent. The result of the remodeling efforts raised the overall enjoyment of this property far above where it was when we stayed there two years ago.

Review Title : Benton CottageFirst time staying at Benton Cottage. We adored this house. The porch was the best-- sunrise ocean view was breathtaking! Love the character of the vintage houses--this house is a great combination of comfort and classy beachhouse decor.Only problem I had was figuring out how to get the TVs to work---but..... who needs a tv at the beach?!!!

Review Title : Benton cottageI like that we don't have to go to a rental office first to get the key to the rental property. This saves time. We love this house. We have been to it many times. I am pleased that the kitchen was improved from the previous owners.

Review Title : Benton Cottage, Tybee Island, GAHad small children and there were no bathtubs, just showers. Loved the big screened in porch, bedrooms were a little different as they are connected. Had to walk through 2 to get to the bathroom.

Review Title : Family Get Together at Benton CottageThis home is perfect for a closeknit family that doesn't mind sharing bathrooms. The location is really convenient to the beach and to several restaurants and the IGA. Fully equipped kitchen with excellent appliances helps to save money on eating out.
