Annual Fourth of July Celebration

  • Where: Pier and Pavillion
  • Description: Tybee’s annual celebration of America’s birthday. Come early and plan to stay late as this is one of Tybee’s busiest days of the year and the island fills up fast. The show starts around dark thirty (around 9:15pm). The fireworks are staged on the pier, but they are easily viewed from any of Tybee’s eastern beaches. (912) 786-5444/(800) 868-2322

Memorial Day Weekend

The Tybee Island Veterans Memorial Committee will host a concert on Sunday, May 30th from noon until 9:30 pm at the Tybee Pier and Pavilion. Music will be provided by Georgia Rhythm and Randy “Hatman” Smith. This will be a free concert, sponsored by Stingrays restaurant and Hatman Entertainment. Donations will be accepted to help complete the Tybee Island Veterans Memorial. Come out and have a great time and support your local veterans. May 30, 2012



8th Annual TybeeTurtle Trot

  • Where: Pier and Pavillion
  • Description: 6-mile walk starting at the Tybee Pier to raise money for the under-insured in Coastal Georgia fighting breast cancer.

SCAD Sand Art Festival

This annual festival features competitions using sand and objects found on the beach, including shells and seaweed, as art. Categories include: sand castle design, sand sculptures, sand relief and wind sculpture.
