Bring in the New Year with a bang! Enjoy the show launched from the Tybee Pier at the stroke of midnight at one of Tybee’s many restaurants and bars, or watch it from the beach. It promises to be spectacular!

Starting Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s Day this whimsical paradise will be full of events, activities and special occasions to be enjoyed by Island Locals and You! Holiday lights, a parade, special days to shop, and a jump in the ocean with the “Polar Bears.”

Take time during the holiday rush to view “shabby chic” historic Tybee Island cottages as restored by the famous interior designer, Jane Coslick. When imagination, colors, historic cottages and Jane’s vision combine the results are phenomenal!

The Tybee Island Pirate's Festival is a fun event for kids and adults. Over the year's the festival has grown into one of the Island's most popular events. The event is kicked off with a Buccaneers ball, however the parade on Saturday is the main event. The parade runs from the North Beach side of the island to the South Beach. Many visitors will watch street side, but several restaurants, such as Spanky's and Sting Ray's, offer terrific accommodations for enjoying the parade and your favorite beverage. Ahoy Maties!
