Pelican Point is a new name for a very old house. Originally moved from town and placed on this lot in 1920 by the Solomon family, this house has recently undergone a major renovation. Until now most recently known as The Lientz Cottage or 10 North Lovell, this spot has one of the most magnificent views on all of Tybee. Sitting right on the beach with the ship's passage in and out of the Port of Savannah front and center, the house has 3 bedrooms and one small room off of the Master Suite lovingly known as "the nursery" with a twin bed and room for a pack and play.


There are three full baths, two up and one down, a newly modernized kitchen and large dining room. A nice porch with a large table on the first floor is perfect for a low country supper or casual dinner for a crowd. The dining room also has a table suitable for a big group. The upstairs porch is wonderful for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just for sitting and watching the ships, the people on the beach or the dolphins playing and the pelicans flying north in the morning and south in the evening right over the corner of the porch. A large great room as well as the bedrooms and bathrooms are all situated on the second floor. The great room is perfect for watching television shows, movies, playing games, working on puzzles or just visiting with family and friends while enjoying a beachfront view. The downstairs also has a nice open sitting/play area where the morning breezes are particularly inviting. The laundry room is located on this level.

Born and raised in Louisiana, Sis Lientz grew to love the sound of the surf and the sights and sounds of the beach as much as her husband Jim. They started spending summers at Tybee as soon as they settled in Savannah in the mid 1940's and more than summers after purchasing this house in 1970. Sis loved the state bird of her native state, the pelican, and so it seemed only fitting to include Pelican in the new name to celebrate the new look of the house.
