Second building from the beach on Tybee's south beach. Only the dunes separate this unit from the beach. Enjoy your coffee watching beach combers from the deck, and in the evening, watch the south beach kite boarders fly through the surf.
8 steps take you to the main level where the decor, in soothing blues, greens, and white, lets you know you are at the beach. The tiled first floor with an open kitchen/dining/living area opens to a screened porch. There is room for six at the dining room table and 3 can sit at the kitchen bar...or move dinner to the screened porch table. The wet bar and ice-maker in the living area and the fully equipped kitchen make entertaining a "breeze". The bedroom on this level has a king bed, and a bathroom with a double vanity, a tub and shower combination, and a separate shower. In addition, there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer, and a half bath. Go up 14 steps to the landing where you will find a comfortable sofa, the perfect spot for reading, and access to an open deck, where you can sunbathe with an ocean view and breeze. The queen bedroom on this level has an ocean view also. Twin beds are in the second upstairs bedroom. The upstairs bath has a double vanity and a tub/shower combination. Take about 70 steps to the beach walkway.

Review Title : Great place! The home was great and had everything anyone would ever need. The location to restaurants/t-shirt shops was ok- just a short walk. My only suggestion would be to have at least 1 more tv. I realize one is on vacation but after being on the beach all day it is nice to come in, eat and cool down. Especially when traveling with 4 teenagers, it would have been nice not to have had to watch their shows.

Review Title : Simply WonderfulThe property was clean and in a great location. The AC was COLD and all the appliances worked. We were able to make it a home away from home which allowed everyone to focus on having a great holiday.

Review Title : Winter retreatComing from a foot of snow to the 70 degree temp and great ocean view on the roof porch was thoroughly enjoyed! We very much liked the location and ample space of the cottage. Would definitely stay again!!

Review Title : Wonderful family retreatWe had a wonderful time! I hestitate to even tell anyone about the house because it is so nice I'd like to keep it a secret for my own family! The decor was bright, pleasant, cheerful and homey. The neighbors were all friendly and for the most part locals. No loud music or anything like that. We loved the private walk over the sand dunes and the quiet lane. that the house was located on. I am an extremely protective mother and felt very safe with my older kids walking back and forth from the beach to the house with minimal supervision. We really loved the deck and porch and the warm ocean breezes. We enjoyed the south end of the beach. Much less crowded than mid beach. A great set up in terms of a nice enclosed shower with hot water in back to make cleaning off sandy bodies very easy. I highly recommend Tybee Cottages as a rental source. We have rented other houses from them in the past. They are very honest and dependable. I wouldn't think of renting from anyone else. Jim won't steer you in the wrong direction and his prices are very competitive. I'm convinced Tybee Cottages has the nicest places to rent on Tybee and I'm a Savannah native!

Review Title : Slice of Heaven on Tybee IslandWe have only visited Tybee for the day, we live about an hour away. This was a perfect weekend getaway. This home was cozy and well maintained. The decor was "beachy" and personal, we felt like we were visiting a friend's place. It was great being able to see and hear the ocean from our porch and deck!

Review Title : Great vacationWe went in late October and were very pleased with both Tybee Island and with the rental. Not being familiar with the location, I was worried about location not being "beach front" but you really couldn't get much closer than where we were and you could see the ocean from the upstairs balcony. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. We were very pleased with the property and with Tybee Island!

Review Title : Wonderful!!!First of all, Jim Hefflin is amazing to work with. I can't think him enough for everything he did for us! The house is beautiful! I would say it is the cleanest house I have ever rented at any beach. Beds were fantastic, decorations were gorgeous, I would highly recommend this rental to anyone with children or without!!

Review Title : Labor Day in TybeeWe spent 4 days in Tybee at 3-B Eighteenth Place. It had everything we could want. The beach is a very short walk through the dunes, and food and shopping are only a few blocks away at the pier. It can't be beat, especially at a very competitive rate. We are already looking at the calendar for a return trip!

Review Title : Loved our week on TybeeThis home is very comfortable and decorated in a great beach motif. We had plenty of room to spread out and loved the two different porches. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans. No shortage on towels. The home was very clean as well. This home sits at the south end of Tybee, which we enjoyed. This townhome is the second home back from the beach and you have to cross two dunes to get to the beach. The beach area was quieter and less crowded than the central area which we liked. The one complaint about the beach was the abundant amount of jellyfish!!! They were everywhere and my husband was stung twice! But, that has nothing to do with the home, just the time of year. We have rented other houses in other areas of the country and I would say that we were surprised that this home didn't have any basic staples in the kitchen to use. We have felt very comfortable using the salt/pepper/sugar/oil in other homes in the past and often leave a few staples behind to. But there were none here. There were a few sand toys in the garage for the kids to use, but we had to go and buy everything else we wanted to use on the beach (boogie boards, chairs, cart to get stuff to the beach). Which, being from ks we don't have much use for it here. We thought that some of that would have been available at the house. In all, I would recommend this home to a family looking for a comfortable home on Tybee Beach!

Review Title : Breakfast on the screen porch and sunset cocktail hour on roof. The spaciousness and tall ceiling of the liviing room, made this condo seem larger than most. Easy access to the beach was important to us as well as a well equiped kitchen. The carport provided easy storage for our rented bikes. We are looking forward to coming back here again next year.

Review Title : Wonderful Beach Home3-B Eighteenth Place is not a cottage; it's a wonderful beach home that is fully equipped (including a two car garage and even a washer and dryer) and ready to be lived in year-round. It is steps away from the beach and situated on the less commercial (South) end of the Island. There were just two of us who stayed here and everything we needed was on the main floor. We did spend time in the screened-in porch and, in the early morning and evening, on the second level deck with a view of the beach. Additionally, we had a situation arise for which Jim Heflin with Tybee Cottages helped direct us to medical care.

Review Title : Great Beach Spot for this Beach Bum!Great location to be near pavilion, shops, clubs and restaurants and the beach bum parade!!! Walk to everything yet far enough to be quiet. Floor plan, screened porch and upper deck perfect for group to spread out. House feels like old family home passed down through generations with retro touches and modern convenience. Will stay again. Tybee Cottages great to work with and made process easy.

Review Title : Big, Bright and Airy in Great Location!Beautifully furnished townhouse, well-stocked kitchen, lovely decks. Oversized rooms, great location near uncrowded ocean beach. Only issue was unclean dishes in cabinet (I think because there was no D/W powder in house). I had to re-wash some of the dishes before using. Also - beach chairs would have been appreciated, but we were able to find some in town. Overal,we were very, very pleased, and enjoyed a lovely stay.
