The Cockspur Island Lighthouse dates back pre civil war.  Miracously, during the war it sustained no damage.  Unfortunately, in 2008 the Historic Preservation placed the light house on it's top ten "places in peril."  However, today it still stand as a warm welcome to Tybee Island.  The lighthouse is only accessible by boat.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trFNRvGrSNQ]
